Pros

The company is renowned for its impressive talent pool, featuring highly skilled engineers and top tier security professionals. Its standout characteristic is the culture, which truly goes beyond mere words it's genuinely practiced and lived. While the HR department diligently puts effort into their initiatives, their impact is occasionally hindered by limited decision-making authority. Nonetheless, this is effectively counterbalanced by the remarkable dedication displayed by a significant portion of the workforce, particularly in their unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. The sales and Sales Engineering teams are especially notable for going above and beyond, demonstrating a proactive and sincere concern for delivering an exceptional customer experience. This customer-centric approach is a pivotal factor in driving the company's success. Amongst the leadership team, the CTO emerges as a particularly visionary leader, consistently inspiring with innovative ideas and a forward thinking mindset.

Cons

The company is witnessing a troubling exodus of top level talent, especially at the executive level. The investment of its current PE firm appears to be in at Risk although time will tell. Leadership continues to promote individuals into senior roles who lack essential backgrounds in engineering, security or product development. This issue is compounded by long-tenured employees, who have been with the company for 10-14 years, merely collecting paychecks without fostering new ideas or allowing those eager to propel the company forward. The head of Customer Relations is disconnected from direct customer interaction, leading to overlooked feedback from both customers and committed employees. The product team's performance is alarming, functioning without crucial input from sales, engineering, or security experts. Their inadequate understanding of vital technical and security aspects is exposed with minimal probing. Despite these challenges, the company is sustained by a core of dedicated employees, yet the overall trajectory of the company remains concerning.

Pros

Good people. Some smart, others not-so-smart. I heard recently the daily lunch got cut down from 5 days a week to 3 days a week. Strike THAT pro off the list. Is another sign of where this company is headed needed? Used to be a fun party culture, but those days are long gone. Take a job here ONLY if you're desperate, get your tech experience, and GET OUT!

Cons

Terrible products. Boys club management. No raises. No perks whatsoever, unless you believe a gameroom/bar is a perk, but we all knew it was created to keep us at work longer. Do yourself a favor if you're a bartender, construction worker, just out of school, recently paroled from jail, or anybody else looking for a job: exhaust EVERY other resource you have before you take a job here.

Pros

-Free lunch and a lot of young people trying to make it in the IT industry. -The bar in the basement is fun and I've met a lot of good friends from work. -Everyone knows Barracuda based on the HUGE marketing budget.

Cons

I appreciate that the company has a track record of hiring bartenders and baristas that are promoted up but when there are entire teams of people that have no idea what they're doing or what a real software company does you're going to have problems. -The majority of the management layer is incompetent or doesn't care. -Only the people at the very top are making money, everyone else is take it or leave it. -Can't keep good engineers. You will be constantly apologizing for buggy, half baked products. -Yes men and butt kissers do well... everyone else can keep opinions to themselves. -Constant turnover as a side effect of below industry compensation. -Parking.
