Pros
Great training programs, really friendly, talented, caring, and smart people, good work-life balance, fair amount of mentoring, good exposure to large company/projects/clients within the industry, great opportunities to gain experience. BMC gave me a lot of opportunities and I will always feel grateful to the company for that. I learned A LOT and was able to move up in my career quite a bit while there.
Cons
I spent more than a decade with the company and the last few years saw a rapid decline in benefits, increases in lay-offs of great talent, and obvious signs of favoritism - if you knew the right people, despite your skills, you didn't get laid off. If you weren't friendly with the right people, despite your years of work and experience, you were let go. I was not laid off, moved on to another company. Low raises. It became an uncomfortable place with so many lay offs. Much more communication needed company-wide, between departments, and within divisions.
