Pros

The only pro is the discount. The newhires most of the time always have a great attitude, willingness to learn, and put 110% effort into their work. This only lasts a couple of weeks until they find out how things truely are in that store.

Cons

There is no communication what so ever. Everyday we all walk in expecting a different set of rules no matter who the manager on duty is. The insurance is horrible. They told my doctor I didnt exsist in the system and I had been paying the insurance for over 2 years! Its all politics if you are in with the management crowd you could get away with anything and it would be ok with them. If you are not friends with management then it doesnt matter how hard you work you will never get recognition for it, not even so much as a "thank you".

Pros

The store is customer friendly to a fault. The section managers and leads are excellent, It is a fun and family friendly environment. The discount is ok. The associates are a great group of people to work with. The vacation benefits are good.

Cons

The company is not very associate friendly. Only one holiday off per year (Christmas), the store will stay open regardless of how slow. Training is poor. Pay raises are poor. Health benefits are poor. Employee recognition is poor. Care for employee welfare is poor. Two key personnel in upper management foster a toxic environment towards employees. Lunches are too short and breaks are simply not a priority.

Pros

Good discount on items, friendly co-workers, quick training, easy to learn. The typical customers are very courteous and appreciate the support we provide. The customers expect to be treated as friends and that they are welcome back whenever they like.

Cons

Some customers, as with any job, can be angry and they sometimes shout and get mean with the associates. Unfortunately, the customer is always right.
