Pros

Wonderful place to work if you like to hunt and fish! Great Place to learn new skills. Highly recommend employment here!

Cons

Long hours, only closed on Christmas. There are really not very many cons. However, if you do not enjoy working in a sales environment, this is not the place for you.

Pros

Bass Pro Shops had good employee discounts and their hours were very flexible within each store department. Coworkers were very friendly.

Cons

Not much room for growth. The stores were very far apart so if you wanted advancement you would have to move to a different location.

Passionate culture (employees and customers) Fabulous Owner (Give you the shirt of his back type of a person) Beautiful and unique to each other stores

Cons

Way behind the times in terms of resources and systems Horrible benefits (insurance, vacation, etc.) There seems to be a huge disconnect in the values the Owner seems to exude and what gets portrayed by those he entrusts in running the show "Effective Immediately" job elimination company wide for LP, PR and Visual Manager and Associates positions. The company is so disjointed that I was among several people flown out to Missouri to receive some specialized training the week the decision was made to terminate the prior mentioned positions, so they had to fly everyone back to their home locations to let them know they were out of a job.
