      Pros

      Battelle is a place where innovation is not just a concept, it's the core business model. If you want to work with the best and the brightest in a wide variety of technical disciplines, this is the place for you. Posers and wanna bes don't survive long. Performance is everything.

      Cons

      Senior management disconnect is right out of Dilbert. Either the middle high layer of management is totally clueless, or they just don't care. Time on project is all that matters, and nepotism among management is rife.

      Pros

      Dedicated people. Good benefits. Varied technical opportunities. Battelle has a rich history of giving back to the community both financially and by allowing staff to schedule time, especially in the schools -- helping improve the overall educational experience for students in the communities Battelle is located in.

      Cons

      Management disconnected from the staff in terms of day to day operations. There are high aspirations for accomplishment, and good staff ready to pull in the same direction, but scattered direction is provided by management. The only focused message is "charge time to projects or else." It is truly amazing how much innovation happens in spite of that negative environment.

      Pros

      They have a liberal work schedual and allow you to get your work week done and do family things. You have to put in 40 hours a week but it's not on a set schedual. You get 6 months paid sick leave on top of vacation time.

      Cons

      As of this time I can't say anything bad
