Awesome place to work

Pros

This is the first time I am working for a start up. I have come from big companies and it is refreshing to have co-workers collabrate together. The company is growing rapidly. Employees work hard and also having a good time together. There is a lot of new talent coming on board with an open mind and bright fresh ideas.

Cons

The company is growing and the space is getting tight with all the new hires coming onboard. I wish we had more desk space.

Pros

The company is in it's rapid growth period, which shows a promising future for the employees who are determined to stick it out. The business is expanding in all different directions including online and offline presence, which means more opportunities to venture into a new area of interest or gain supervisory experience. The management is doing a great job of maintaining a "start-up" attitude and keeping the employees feeling like a team with a similar goal of making the world Sparkle. GBD!

Cons

Due to the growth spur we are slowly growing out of our office space and while we have been able to manage so far, I hope we find a suitable office space in NYC. Vacation/time off policy is a little weak and the work hours are some times too much.

Pros

-Start up experiencing tremendous growth -Managers willing to listen to ideas that will streamline processes or experiment with new sales channels -Great for independent, self-motivated, "get it done" personalities -Amazing co-workers, it's not all "kumbayah" but it's pretty darn good! -Co-founders sit right in with the whole team for transparency -Excellent location of main office -Success and employees are celebrated all.the.time. - High performing employees aren't held back from moving to other positions

Cons

-rapid growth at a faster pace than office space and ergonomic desks/chairs are available -speed of tasks can lead to "band-aid" solutions in place too long (flip side is if you have an idea, they are eager to listen) -took awhile to get a much needed HR dept. in place (again, see rapid growth)
