Pros

I have been working for BaubleBar since 2014 and I am extremely happy here. Not only do I feel valued by my co-workers, but I also feel valued by my direct manager, the key stakeholders and the Co-Founders. It is a very collaborative environment where you bounce ideas off each other and that is why you have such a fantastic organic growth and strong culture. What I like most is that I am not micro-managed, but there is always someone who can give you advice/suggestions if needed. I know it is ok to make mistakes, as long as you have an entrepreneurial attitude where you give it your all until you find that solution. I know I have some amazing growth opportunities here and I'm excited to see where I am headed with BaubleBar. Other Pros: - People really care about a good work/life balance here. We all work really hard but we also get some breathers during regular happy hours and team activities. - Employees who have been with the company are not feeling attacked by new employees who take over some of their responsibilities (new departments are being build). In fact, employees who have worn many hats over the past years are very excited that they can give some of those responsibilities to the experts and focus on what they really want. - Of course the free jewelry.

Cons

With every company there are a few cons, but let's face it: No one is perfect! And in a startup environment everyone learns how to improve on a daily basis. It is just that you have to evaluate what weighs more... the pros or the cons. I wouldn't call the points below cons, but things that we need to work on: - Everyone works really hard, really long hours and the vacation policy doesn't match up to that - Priorities of key stakeholders change quickly - Not enough processes in place - Sometimes the expectations are too high - Office is getting cramped due to growth

Pros

You’ll have a job. Free coffee and at times bagels/donuts.

Cons

Just this past year there were 4 different days that employees got paid late on pay day. - Everybody is very nosy and wants to know your business. - No communication whatsoever between the departments.. everybody wants to be the boss. - NO ROOM for growth at all. -Every year more and more people have quit and whats their solution? Give more work to the employees still working. - If a mistake is made it becomes WWIII and it becomes life or death. - This company use to give monthly town halls to update their lower level employees how the company is doing.. that's a thing of the past. - They are low on staff in literally every department so whoever is sinking in work that's most likely where you'll be working for the day despite your own workload.

Pros

Good coworkers Relaxed work environment I enjoyed working here for the most part until I was laid off and the company seems to continue to shrink since.. not sure what is going on over there.

Cons

Uncertain future Unorganized Long hours Not much upward movement The company has been cutting corners to save money including cutting people. Not sure how much longer they can last it will definitely be harder to improve anything if they keep downsizing when everyone is already overworked as is. The company definitely needs to make a big change to stay relevant. Also needs more employees to do so which they can not afford.
