Pros

Overtime only during holidays Free jewlery

Cons

They treat people like children. There is Overtime only during the holiday seasons. There is,absolutely no heat in that place. The elevators hardly ever work and you have to walk up several flights of stairs. But for some odd reason management never take the stairs. It's a modern day sweat shop. Management have meetings about nonsense. When you make a mistake it's your fault even though management and the so called "Team leads' don't train you properly on QCing. Every other day they change the rules everyday about checking the jewelry. The same jewelry that is sold on eBay for $0.10, customers are paying 4 times the price value. It's sad that the company is getting away with it. Also for example they have a team of inexperienced females called "The Damage Team" . On this team they fix broken jewelry. For example if a pearl, stone, or a diamond falls off a necklace, bracelet or earrings they use glue to repair the stone that fell off. This company truly do underhanded things in order to make a quick dollar. If anyone plans on working at this sweatshop I advise you to run. This place is not for you. They do not acknowledge anyone's hard work. They expect everyone to be perfect but yet management is not perfect. You cannot have any mistakes while inspecting the items given to you in your order or else you get fired. When a holiday comes management does not care if you make a mistake when QCing _(Quality Control) the order. They just want high numbers and the order to get out. There is absolutely no heat after 3PM in that warehouse. Employees as well as management literally sit in coats, scarves, and wear gloves just to get the work done. They don't care what so ever. Even the building landlord asked the senior vice president and senior manager to give him a call to turn the heart on and they refused. Pure nonsense. Also the piece is so dusty and run down. Everyone literally leaves the warehouse with dust on their clothes. Sad Part is that we all sit for 8 hours at a table checking to make sure the jewelry is in great condition to send to the customers. So why would there be need to have dusty on your clothes. Also lazy managers who yell and curse at you for nonsense like being a minute late or asking a question about why you missing 10 hours from your check. None of the managers do their job. But the managers are children them selves. Make sure to not leave any personal stuff laying around such as your cellphone, laptop, or IPad cause someone will steal it. The bathrooms are always disgusting and there is never any tissue in it. Don't even ask for a raise cause you will never see it. It's worse than high school at the place. Stop taking advantage of your emoloyees. Give raises. Stop firing people over nonsense and telling people that you're budfet was cut therefore they have to be released. Maybe if you didn't spend the money on bs such as those gift boxes and charging customers ridiculous prices maybe you all can afford to give people raises. Stop selling scrappy reglued jewelry. Stop teaching employees fraudulent tactics on how to get away with it.

Pros

My peers were wonderful and always inspired me to work hard and to challenge myself intellectually. The office environment is conducive to good

Cons

In a company that employs mostly 20-30 year old women, when something goes wrong it's handed like petty college students. No issue is ever resolved because favorites are always picked so if the favorite employee is in the wrong, they'll ignore the problem at hand. If one of the favorites isn't involved, management will escalate the issue above and beyond what is appropriate and necessary.
