Reality is nothing like the rosy picture they portray

Pros

Good pay and some perks

Cons

Upper mgmt (corporate) talks a good game about employee engagement and caring about their employees but that is a less than honest opinion of themselves. Property managers are often no better...likely due to an overwhelming demand to meet unrealistic expectations and fear for their job. They will play hard ball and disregard you as a human if you are targeted by them. They will not care about hard work, loyal service or anything else. Take your talent elsewhere.

Not the greatest place to work!

Pros

Pay was better than average.

Cons

Micromanaging Supervisor. No life outside of work as supervisor’s called at all different times after hours. No transparency. Managers were expected to meet NOI no matter what it took. Supervisor lacked integrity and experience.

Unnecessary Training's and Meeting's

Pros

Beacon is a wonderful company to work for everyone is pleasant and knowledgeable of there responsibilities. The salary across the board is far better than most companies. There is room for growth and your input is highly taken into consideration. There benefits consist of medical, 401k, very good salary, paid holidays, summer time half days, free time off flex days, performance bonus, holiday bonus, and the list goes on and on. Any personnel problem's you may have they are there to help you and your family (They really care). There motto is "you talk we listen" so I hope there listening well .

Cons

but if I had to rank then from 1 to 10 (10 being the best) I would probably give them a six. The reason being is the constant unnecessary training's and meeting's . I love Chris Salamanis (meeting planner) she is a wonderful person but soon as I receive and e-mail from her I get an instant migraine headache before I even read it. At these training's and meeting's the main conversation at break time is about to many meeting's and training's. I've heard everyone from maintenance, property managers and regional managers all say it's to much. If Beacon did a survey on what was the last five training's, majority of the staff couldn't tell you. This is the company I plan on retiring from if im not mentally burned out first from the training's and meeting's. Hopefully this gets the attention of people like Pam, Jeff and Darlene (CEO's) and a year from now I can revisit glass door and give Beacon a 10
