Beacon Communities provides a fun, challenging and rewarding environment for its team members!
Pros
Beacon has a very open, family-type culture where all employees are valued for their contributions and new ideas are encouraged and promoted by supervisors and upper management. Promotion from within is highly valued as great emphasis is placed on having employees who are engaged and challenged by their work. The company cares very much about providing quality in-house training as well as encouraging staff to explore other resources for personal and professional growth. Beacon takes pride in the quality housing communities that we own and manage and cares about its residents by providing programming and events that build a sense of community. Beacon team members also like to have fun and the company embraces opportunities to provide employee engagement outings that bring us all together to enjoy time away from the work that we do. Beacon is a very satisfying place to work!
Cons
Beacon is always growing and at times work can be very fast-paced and intense. Upper Managment acknowledges this though and stresses the importance of finding a balance between work and personal life. To promote this, Beacon often gives employees additional time before a holiday to travel and relax, which is a really nice way to show how much the company appreciates our efforts and is a nice additional benefit!
