Pros

If you need a really, really good laugh, and are willing to suffer a lot for it, you'll get one.

Cons

Senseless job threats, slave-driving, useless benefits, micromanagement, terrible time-off policies, unparalleled inefficiency and a malevolent lack of moral fiber. The worst part is this company thinks they're normal, or in some cases, leading edge.

Pros

Work hours are condusive for family life. Required hours are better than most retailers. It's o.k. to work in a pinch.

Cons

Hostile enviroment, discrimination and favoritisim. There are unfair practices going on. New President is allowing long term associates to be terminated because of education level.

Pros

You get 2 years of experience in 1, but that's the hours. This is great place to work if you have no concept of life.

Cons

1. You can go other places, but you need to have initiative. You must be self-taught, dedicated to you career and willing to learn. Bealls will not invest in you, so you need to do it yourself. 2. I've witnessed more infighting amongst DVPs than any other job, it embarrasses me. 3. Debilitating friction between peers is encouraged at the corporate office. 4. Bealls is not dedicated to Life/Work balance. It is impossible to get time off whether it is sick or vacation. 5. Management is so interested in their vision they fail to heed the warnings of projects gone awry. 6. Contributions to 401K are limited (25.00-30.00 total in 7 years) 7. Your success depends on the hallway you work, its a publicity competition, stay close to you department head, not your divisional head.
