Fun place to work, they work with your college schedule and were really good at giving you days off you request

Cons

As with all dealing with the public some customers are rude and insist on being right even when they are really wrong

I was miserable for 4 years of my life

I did make some great friends while working there. 5pm and weekends are the only other positives I can think of

Salary is terrible, I resigned after 4 years only making $1500 more than the day I started and that's with excellent reviews every year. Everyone pretty much gets a 1% raise every September. Upper management is terrible as well as being extremely unethical. HR department is a joke. You'd think that being a family business they'd be family oriented but this is definitely not the case. They very rarely promote from within and if they do, don't expect much of a pay raise. No 401K matching and taking a day or two off is frowned upon. The DVP of my department was always so mad around Thanksgiving and Christmas when people wanted to take time off to spend with their families, a crazy concept around there. There are some good employees there, unfortunately a lot of them are miserable. Seemed like everyone was looking for a way out and still is.
