Pros

There are some really great employees at this company.

Cons

Leadership Cannot Run This Company - the CEO and COO have no idea what they're doing. They don't set budgets, saying there is no need. Then complain and blame others when too much cash is being burned through. They don't talk to each other, and contradicts the other while not backing up the teams under them. This wastes tons of valuable time and money, which sadly comes back on the manager/employee. Lies to Get You In - they promise wellness meal stipends, work-from-home days and pay raises. But they never deliver, and are never apologetic about it when asked about these promises. Nor are they clear on why they are not delivering. Complaints are Often Ignored - the complaints of employees regarding bullying and leadership treatment are often ignored. Sometimes there is even retaliation. Leadership Bullies Employees in Open Forums - the CEO and COO will often bully, ridicule and belittle managers in open forum communication channels. Nothing is ever done about this.

Pros

I worked in the marketing department in Addison TX, and my coworkers and direct manager were all wonderful people.

Cons

Wow. The CEO is incapable of leading a company. He's a chronic micromanager who uses Slack to bully employees into doing things his way, even and especially when he is directly in the wrong. He publicly shames mid-level management in Slack forums and refuses to listen to sound advice. He favors male employees, talking over and treating female employees with condescension during meetings. The COO doesn't appear to stand up to him about any of this and allows his direct reports to suffer. HR does the same. C-level execs and upper management also actively and willingly pit departments against each other to get them to "work harder" because competition makes employees aim higher in their achievements. Yes, because purposefully creating internal conflict ALWAYS makes for a healthy, high-performing work environment. (/s) This is what ultimately caused me to walk out. They will also tell you that you can work from home a few days a week if you want. You definitely can, and then the COO will personally attack you for it. He quoted Elon Musk, saying, "If anyone wants to work from home who doesn't have to work from home, I'll accept that as your resignation." I was disgusted by how I and others were treated at this company. I raised these issues through the proper channels on NUMEROUS occasions and never followed up with or told, "It's our policy." Truly the worst company I have ever worked for. I can not in good conscience recommend anyone to my former position or any position with this company.

Pros

Free lunch is the only pro I could give. Lunch was delivered daily and different cuisines were offered. Nice beverage and snack break area. Wellness room had a massage chair which I never used but heard it was soothing.

Cons

This company is improperly structure. No guidance and policies are implemented as issues occur. There is clear sight favoritism between employees. Managers are allowed to treat and talk hostile to employees with no HR counselor. Issue is handle only after repeat raised concern to other co-workers. Once issue HR reported, managers purposely treat employees harsher. Managers request after schedule work hours to complete task, shorten or no lunch periods, indirectly advise not to arrange PTO for mental health days because of their demands. All task were completed on request with no appreciate incentives given. C-Level leadership is a joke, so what is to expect from their managers. My twenty plus work experience in corporate America, never have I witnessed C-Level execs so rude, no communication between each other, and no unity in decision making. Head executive has a non approachable demeanor, which make you uncomfortable to approach him even to speak. For the most part the co-workers were nice, but some talk crap about employees seating openly while HR laughs loudly. I have heard unprofessional jokes and chatter I feel shouldn't take place, especially while HR seating feet away. If you are looking to be treated rudely, unappreciated, witness back and forward disagreements with EXECUTIVES, and again unappreciated join BEAR ROBOTICS!
