Pros

-team by team, but culture was really nice. Had a family feel, this is slowly going away -free lunch -lots of fun events -really nice offices -creative UWing, love the job and flexibility -our reputation is amazing in the industry -working with claims and everyone on all level. Easy to talk to anyone and group think

Cons

-executives blame employees for problems they create. The executives are the worst part of Beazley -heavy workload with lots of people leaving recently -some teams have toxic culture (mine does, and you can tell with how bad the turnover is) -salaries can be low and bonuses are getting weaker. Higher ups dont always want whats best for you either -I really dont like what has been happening to Beazley the past 2 years, I am worried with the Zurich purchase for we are a shell of what we used to be in such a short amount of time

Pros

we are being sold to Zurich

Cons

This is the worst HR team i have ever worked in. There is a reason there has been so many other reviews saying the same it's terrible. The HR leadership team have no idea what they are doing and refuse to listen to any feedback. They talk down at you, micromanage and are patronising. it's horrible. Some teams are stretched beyond breaking point whilst others seem to do absolutely nothing. I have never been part of a HR team as bad as this.

Pros

Take good care of their people, great work culture, flexible working hours, generous PTO, very good benefits package, upward mobility, creative and unique place to work.

Cons

Terrible work/life balance. Disconnect between US and UK offices (i.e. London teams do things without US teams being informed). Execs a bit out of touch with mid-lower management, growing pains (small company trying to act like big company without the appropriate number of staff), take-home pay is low for anyone who is not an underwriter or upper management.
