Pros

-positive, progressive culture; a sense that executives and upper management truly care about employees' wellbeing and remaining transparent about company performance. Strong benefits and perks. -because it's a relatively smaller carrier, perhaps more open than others to hire those without experience for entry-level roles; Beazley can be an excellent company to begin your career in insurance. -friendly, professional colleagues and a sincere effort to develop relationships and bring people together.

Cons

-salaries can be on the lower side of industry standards, and despite lower-level employees being encouraged to work extra hours to keep up with heavy workloads, this extra compensation can be overlooked when employees earn a promotion. -Company communication can be overbearingly encouraging of a culture that can be experienced quite differently across teams and departments; upper management not always aware or in touch with operations' teams systems and their problems. -growing pains deriving from upper management pushing underwriters to expand business at a furious pace, while being incredibly stringent with offering additional support services headcount to match. Operations staff seem to be viewed as expendable assets that can be continuously replaced, leading to high turnover. There is a huge project to automate/streamline processes but until those goals are accomplished, there should be more people on the front lines to facilitate this ambitious growth.

Pros

Benefits are good, profit related pay can be good if you work in an exceptionally profitable line of business.

Cons

Slow at everything, constant flow of meetings and away days that achieve nothing, bombarded with high work load, extremely low morale, flat structure, slew of incompetent people.

Pros

Good benefits including commuter, fitness and BYOD reimbursement. Extensive traveling opportunities depending on your role. Consistently improved WFH options and telecommuting capabilities. Excellent CEO, truly a class act.

Cons

My cons are solely related to my experience working with a particular team. Raises and bonuses are lacking - very little incentive to do well and hard work is not rewarded adequately. The team was a disaster led by someone who did not possess leadership skills or inspire camaraderie amongst the team. My work and reputation was consistently sabotaged by an unhappy person on my team, to the point that I complained to HR and ultimately decided to resign and pursue other opportunities.
