Pros

On the good side, even though their culture is really forced down your throat 24/7 like some PR propaganda. They do have a pretty lively culture overall. Although, that depends largely on your location and varies greatly. Their benefits package is pretty great or at least was when I was there. If and when you are liked and we’ll-respected, it’s the greatest place on Earth.

Cons

Since I left I’ve had time to reflect on my time with Beazley and therefore feel this is a fair assessment from my 7 years there. I completely agree with the many reviewers who have said that it’s extremely political there. I’ve seen them push out many employees over the years. Some earned it on their own and some did not. Overall the squeaky wheel gets the grease there; to a point of being cutthroat. If you’re liked by someone in high level management there is almost nothing, even extremely egregious you could do to get more than a slap on the wrist. If someone decides they don’t like you for some reason, your days could be numbered. My manager was dull and gave no direction or clear objectives, he was only concerned with pleasing the Executive team. They pack your schedule with back to back meetings all day, every day that usually accomplish nothing. They love to create projects and committees and then sub-committees; it’s laughable and it took me leaving to realize how many of those meetings were a terrible use of my time.

Pros

Remote work flexibility and decent benefits package.

Cons

Managers and execs spend all day saying words like vision, leadership, and strategy but there is no actual vision, leadership skills, or strategy. They just say the words over and over. There is no open dialog or collaboration. People who do not "fall in line" are belittled as having no vision, leadership, or not strategic without an actual substantive discussion. Managers frequently throw their team under a bus, steal people's ideas, and single out team members in meetings.

Beware of Fake Postive Reviews - Failing Culture, Failing Business

Pros

Flexible work locations. Free lunches.

Cons

Company pays a PR firm to help post positive reviews on Glassdoor. Failed middle managers are in a full panic. Toxic culture and people are routinely thrown under the bus for things out of their control. During recruiting, they say all the right things--flat structure, opportunity for growth, etc. None of this is true.
