Pros

Beeline is the only place I have worked where there is a truly genuine company culture that is positive, reflective, humble, and that embraces a growth mindset. It's not just lip service, they really do walk the walk. This company prioritizes more than just the hustle or the bottom line. I have been pleasantly surprised at every turn to find that there is a deep dedication to supporting all of us in showing up the best way we can to our work so that we can be proud of what we do, while also maintaining a healthy work/life balance. If there were any questions before, the overall company response to the current pandemic makes that very clear. Beeline really seems to understand that treating it's employees as stakeholder#1 results in happier people, who are willing and able to innovate and stay committed to helping the business grow. Hardworking teams, extremely solid leadership, and real relationships both internally and with our clients absolutely set us apart. I have worked with and for both small start ups, and large corporations, and I have found working at Beeline to be a very unique and rewarding experience thus far. Our HR team is outstanding, the benefits are great, and unlimited PTO ! :)

Cons

This company is innovating and moving fast, which I love, but sometimes communication can take a hit as a result. Never on anything major, mind you - just some of the smaller stuff that can get lost in the shuffle of so many creative yet busy minds trying to come together on various initiatives and projects. In the face of all the things I love about working at Beeline, it's a small thing - especially when everyone is so truly open to feedback, reflection, and improvement. I realize I may essentially be "cheating" by burying a Pro in the Con section, but it's relevant! #sorrynotsorry.

Pros

Despite all the chaos in the world, Beeline is an oasis. Do we have crazy days and client emergencies and meetings we'd rather not have? Of course-that's just the corporate world. But if I have to experience those downsides of corporate life, I'm glad I'm doing it with these people. Beeline is a family. We squabble, we compromise, we prank each other, but in the end, we've got each other's backs. I trust my teammates implicitly. If I need them (for work or even an outside of work issue), I know I can count on them. I feel like leadership is doing a good job trying to be transparent with what is happening and where they think we're going. The truth is, the world is unpredictable right now in general, and I have no complaints about the information we're being given. I am grateful they've allowed continued working from home during the pandemic and there has been zero effort to push anyone out of their comfort zones. I have also seen real effort this year, even before COVID-19, to let go of egos, attack processes that weren't working and reengineer them, and to support and be open to feedback.

Cons

The pandemic impacted our bottom line, and ultimately bonuses and salaries. But I'd prefer to accept a small pay cut than a furlough or layoff. I appreciate Doug and team fighting to keep everyone employed by any means necessary. We sure do seem to have more than enough work to do. On that note, work/life balance isn't really a thing. Work blurred into life is more like it, esp being at home. I feel like I'm taking calls and meetings earlier AND later than ever before, although i do feel empowered to decline if I really have to.

Such a thoughtful, detailed and appreciated review - thank you very, very much! Extremely well said - on all fronts. This is such a challenging time we're all in right now, and we're constantly looking to take the best approach for all, so we really value your sentiments around how things are being managed through the pandemic. Just don't forget the genuine need to allow time for yourself through this period (especially!) - it's just as important as ever. Thank you again!
