Pros

- The families (some are a joy and some are difficult) - Every employee I have met is friendly - Reimbursement and rewards program - Social events - Decent training and the pay is fair (at least for having no experience in ABA) - A great place to start to see if a career in ABA is for you

Cons

- Scheduling issues that never get resolved - Seemingly high turnover rate - Major lack of support when dealing with difficult clients/families - Inconsistent hours - Dont expect to be full-time even after a year - A definite lack on following through on their promises

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoy the incentive program and social events that we host and that you have come to enjoy the families with whom you work. Regarding your comments, we work very hard to provide all our team members with consistent schedules and we try to maximize all the available time that is requested by our behavior instructors. We highly encourage you to notify your scheduler and management team of any availability that is open and to continue to check-in regarding additional hours. Furthermore, our case managers are matched with behavior instructors as part of our liaison program and all behavior instructors are encouraged to reach out to their liaison via phone, email, or during overlaps in the field. Typically, issues regarding scheduling, hours, or challenging cases can be resolved at our scheduled liaison meetings or by reaching out to your liaison or the manager assigned to your client’s case. We are excited that you have an interest in the ABA field and we encourage you to connect with your clinical management team to resolve any scheduling or client related concerns.

Great Training

Pros

I absolutely loved the constant training from both the office and out in the field. Out of the 3 ABA companies that I have worked for, BF offers the best training. Since I was a full time Special Education Teacher and enrolled in a Masters Program in ABA I didn't have too many hours of availability but in the summer scheduling and case managers were excellent at getting me more hours. Now that I am a case manager, I always refer my BIIs that are looking for a little extra hours and more training to BF.

Cons

The pay is not commensurate with education and experience. Even after being promoted to Senior BII, the pay was significantly lower than other companies that do not even require the extensive training and experience. The pay is great for somebody looking for a job but not once you graduate with a Masters and want a career.
