Pros

Wonderful coworkers Free snacks and coffee Flexible hours Paid initial training and drive time Good workplace relationships with upper management Company social events Great administrative and scheduling staff Ongoing specialized trainings and feedback on performance - + raises for good yearly reviews and promotions! Higher education opportunites at discounted rates Lovely families Seeing your kiddos improve immensely!

Cons

- Difficult to reach full-time status (getting adequate hours), and incredibly easy to lose once you get it, even if it's out of your control (e.g. cancelled sessions and no GA/fill-in sessions available) - If you don't like driving, commute can be difficult for some - High turnover rate of employees because of burnout or just lack of hours - Very policy driven (our branch seems to be given very little advance notice of policy changes) -- I understand it's for everyone's protection, it's just the potential for write-ups goes up if behavior staff are ill-informed of any sudden changes

Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to our clients! It is great to hear that your clients are improving immensely! With regard to full time status, we understand your concern, which is why our scheduling policy allows full-time instructors to work GA hours in order to keep full-time hours. The schedulers should be offering GA work to full time behavior instructors if there are cancellations. As for policy changes, we understand your concern. Since the field of ABA is dynamic and ever-changing, our company often experiences policy changes that are placed upon us by our funding sources, such as the health plans. However, we have taken note of your comment and we will expand our communication efforts with our behavior instructors with regard to policy changes when possible. With regard to burnout, we understand that this is an issue in our field, which is why we try to schedule instructors on several clients during the week so that they do not just work with only one client. We encourage you to bring any suggestions on how this could be addressed from your perspective to your managers. They would love to hear your ideas!

Pros

Its rewarding to see improvement in kids diagnosed with ASD

Cons

-lots of driving -not a stable job -can be stressful -company does not really care about giving you more hours or a higher wage because they can easily replace you -no room for growth unless you want to work in this field in the future

We are happy that you were able to see improvement in the clients with ASD whom you served during your time at Behavior Frontiers. With regard to getting more hours, our scheduling team diligently tracks the number of hours that behavior instructors request and the schedulers work with the clinical team every month to find ways to provide the requested hours. Also, we highly value our behavior instructors and we put extensive effort into seeking talented candidates to join our team. We have high standards for those we select for the position and we provide substantial training to foster the career growth of our behavior instructors. We love ABA and we are always looking for behavior instructors who also love ABA so that we can support them as they advance in this field.

Pros

-There is a real work life balance -Support from superiors with programs that are not making progress, challenging families , graphing questions, report questions etc. -Free snack bar -Free lunch once a month -Trainings every other week where you can get CEUs -2 paid for conferences a year -Developing BIs skill sets, and completing their practicum hours - Being able to spend time with the client, families and BIs during the supervision meetings/ overlaps in home -No crazy monthly billable expectations -Drive time reimbursement -Competitive salary compensation -Caseload will stay the same so you have a chance to build rapport with clients and families -Team meetings for all teams once a month

Cons

The company is still growing, so there are changes that come up (if you really consider this a con).
