      Pros

      Belk gives incredible opportunities to grow and move up in the company. It's entirely up to the associate and what their goals are. Depending on their work ethic, retail knowledge, and leadership abilities the opportunities are endless.

      Cons

      Thanksgiving and the days surrounding Christmas are mandatory days to work. That's really my only dislike with the company.

      Pros

      Work schedule great, good work-life balance. Great discount and if you have a Belk Rewards card even better discounts.

      Cons

      Lack of training, communication among management and associates is lacking, higher management does not recognize those below entry level management. Keeps associates that aren't up to par to do their job effectively causing more work load for those who do work effectively. To many events going on at one given time making the work load heavy for some.

      I like to meet and greet customers. Being able to assist the customers.

      I need to work more hours. 13 hours a week will not pay my bills.
