Pros

20% discount, first look at sales and clearance items

Cons

Will not work with you on scheduling. I was part time, I have a full time job elsewhere Monday thru Friday, and was expected to work every Saturday and Sunday even though there were other people in my department wanting extra hours and were scheduled off those days. I would put in for time off well in advance and they would never process it to have me off correctly. They cut my pay $3.50 for my sales per hour going down while they had a major store remodel during that review period that the store looked horrible and we could not find anything. I worked there 5 years, I don't know how I last that long, and only about 5 people were still there when I left that were there when I started.

Pros

20% Discount on top of other discounts. Sometimes they have double discount days where you get 40% off clothing. Worked in the Junior Department so it was pretty fun. Everybody was nice.

Cons

If you don't get credit card applications, consider yourself axed. Keep up your sales, the more you sell, the better off you are. Loss prevention is crap. You are expected to ring up customers, keep up with store appearances, clean your area, handle the phone all while making sure no one steals. Loss prevention is lazy!!

Pros

Great associates make it a tolerable workplace. ability to be privvy to upcoming sales a with employees discount makes for some great bargains.

Cons

Management is unbending and does not show up when you call for help, very long hours for nominal pay, expected to do the job of three and then have your hours cut as well, no recognition for a huge job well done, no commissions to strive for, no incentives except for a turkey at Thanksgiving provided you meet their goals. Credit is a very hard push.
