      Discount, dealoing with GOOD customers

      Cons

      We are supposed to watch for theives....GET A CLUE...sensor everything and have more associates on the floor. Right now, it is cut, cut, cut hours...perfect time for stealing. Belk does not reward hard work, it is all about the register. The floor looks like trash but no one can leave the almighty register to do any real work because of SPH. Even JCP could read the writing on the wall and stopped SPH.

      Pros

      Management staff is friendly and easy to please, with the exception of one ASM. Pay is average. They offer incentives to sell their credit cards.

      Cons

      Work schedules are NEVER done in advance. Employees do their own inventory. Long hours involved. They do not celebrate Christmas with employees. No cash bonuses for employees who do all the selling.

      Pros

      Flexible Schedules, work independently some, the pay is ok but could be worse. I work with a great team of associates in my dept.

      Cons

      Like many work places, there are is a problem with lines of communication. Announcements and changes in schedule could be more timely and made apparent to everyone.
