Pros

Good benefits package. Associates are wonderful. Great relationships with customers. Upscale merchandise. Emphasis on great customer service.

Cons

Pay for performance. Drive for credit. Management unwilling to recognize a job well done. Sometimes desperation for sales and credit. Not much of a team environment

Pros

Coworkers are usually friendly, the discount is nice

Cons

Biased and egotistical management, no chance for pay raises due to "pay for performance" scale, management pushes (and sometimes threatens) associates to get credit applications from customers, WAY too many tasks for associate to complete, management is unwilling to assist associates. Also there is literally NO WAY to contact Tim Belk in order to report abuse from management or to complain about the work conditions. Inconsistant hours are a big problem...one week you may have 40 the next week you'll have 10. There is no chance of advancement with this company. If I could have found another job, i'd be gone already.
