      Pros

      The pay is adequate, especially since you get paid each time you have a customer fill out a credit application.

      Cons

      Hectic. The floor is a mess, the entire store is insanely crowded, and the managers are relentless. They will come by every five minutes to scold you for not having enough credit applications, app downloads, or email percentages. To be fair, many customers have already been screwed by the terrible bank that issues the credit card and there's really no talking them into getting it.

      Pros

      Personal office provided. Would’ve been an excellent job except they provide you NO TRAINING on how to do this job, more importantly no training or insight on how the company expects you to perform in this position . It’s a “land on your feet running” sort of job. That would be fine other than you’re expected to do this job on day 1 like you’ve been doing it all your life. Store executives use you like their personal secretary and “gopher girl”. When there are 4 executive positions and each demand their requests take priority, it creates an impossible situation that inevitably you have to take the blame for simply because they have higher ranking. High stress, no praise, impossible expectation type of job. If that’s where you thrive and have extremely thick skin, then this is definitely the job for you! No amount of money is worth the degradation you are forced to tolerate.

      There are no pros for working at Belk.

      Cons

      No fair pay No work/life balance They do not care if you have to change your schedule to fit your needs outside of work. Managers do not care about your health They want to come to work and do things that are outside of your pay grade. They will under pay you not matter if you have a degree and YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. they pay you the lowest paying dollar while paying someone with NO EXPERIENCE the highest paying dollar. Very racially motivated staff. Overwork P.O.C. and let other people work less.
