Pros

Amazing, nice, & funny senior residents. Some wonderful coworkers.

Cons

Title. Inconsistent staffing of PALs on many days makes the job impossible to do and makes it more stressful than it should be. Pay is low relative to the stress and expectations the job faces. Lack of supervision from boss and inconsistent times/schedules of meetings make the team feel lose in terms of cohesion.

Pros

The residents are so sweet and kind

Cons

-understaffed -underpaid, they only pay you $11 an hour -the ED is too concerned with minor issues and gives write ups over petty things. She should be more concerned about the bed bugs in the building instead. -they love holding on to that “assisted living” title but it’s really a lot more like a nursing home. -on top of already being underpaid, they cut your hours, they expect everyone to clock out 15 minutes before their shift is actually over. They offer you “overtime” shifts but then will send you home early on your regularly scheduled day because you have “too many” hours -you get treated as if you are disposable, they don’t care about their employees
