Pros

The mission and values are exceptional. The Vice Presidents and Directors are outstanding.

Cons

The managers and supervisors make working here unbearable. Micromanagement, unprofessional, unable to work as a team, unable to speak about work and bounce ideas and frustrations with other colleagues, tension runs thick in the air. A lot of turnover because of the environment the managers and supervisors bring.

Pros

EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE!! I have gained so much nursing/medical experience working here. I have seen medical dx that most will not encounter in a LTC. The knowledge I've gained from this job is incredible.

Cons

Management throws a lot at you, workload is crazy! Don't expect to leave after your 8hr shift is over, it's rare to have your charting/work completely finished before your shift is over. Which you will get "talked" to by management if your work isn't done before you leave, and you will get "talked" to if you stay to finish and have overtime. And on top of it, management likes to consistantly give you more duties to do when you can't even finish the original duties. Also, Management can be is not always direct with employees, they can be very untrustworthy and have been known to deceive many employees for their benefit.

Pros

Cna's are a tremendous asset, even though short staffed all the time.

Cons

Clinical managers will not get off their chairs in their office to help nursing. No training, you get thrown on the floor. Nurses don't even hel each other.
