Pros
I don't think I could find a pro if you gave me $1 billion and 45 years to come up with something.
Cons
-Micromanagement, except they can't remember what they tell you from one day to the next. Management also wouldn't allow for a different approach to a task — it always had to be exactly how they wanted it, meaning there was little room for innovation or creative thinking. -Communication is treated as a one-way street with management. Asking questions for clarification is not allowed. -They're a nonprofit, but they run the organization like they're a corporation — including workplace gossip. -Senior management takes retaliatory actions when they feel their ego has been bruised. -Needing an accomodation caused eye rolls from senior management, treatment as though the condition wasn't real by both senior management and HR as well as increased micromanagement. -Conclusions are made based on one person's version of events without the second person's input and shaming the second person for trying to provide additional context. -When questions were asked to senior management, instead of admitting they didn't know and pointing to a better contact they'd provide a "best guess" answer. Then when following the directions, it's then discovered that the instruction was wrong and blame is placed on the employee instead of senior management acknowledging their communication failure. -I could honestly go on forever. The bottom line is that if you care about your sanity, think twice.
