Pros

Great Tips, decent rate of pay per hour. I love that the company believes in the empowerment of women and try to accommodate personal life by allowing time off with notice. Immediately you begin accruing sick time and LSA's receive a one week paid vacation each year. On your Birthday you receive a birthday gift from the company in the mail. Twice a year you receive gratis which is a major plus!!! Each time a new product launches you receive gratis as well!! They provide lots of training so you feel confident by the time you are on the floor. Ever changing lots of opportunities for growth.

Cons

If you like fast paced this is great, but if you don't this may be a major con. Retail environment can be a bit stressful. The paperwork is very meticulous. You cant make every client happy no matter how hard you try. Lots of ups and downs from day to day. It can be an emotional roller coaster .

Pros

Good commission, it's all individual so you don't need to make target to get commission. It's a fun brand and you get lots of free makeup.

Cons

It's quite a pressurised environment which is why I left. The company is often on your case to improve performance but often not in a positive supporting way

Pros

2% sales commision - which was great on the busy Christmas period. It was a full time job, and also my first job in cosmetics. I made such great friends with a few of the girls on counter - which I continue to speak to today.

Cons

Its a known fact it is the hardest cosmetics company to work for. 'Traffic Stopping' was their rules, break them and you wont last long. You have to go out like them people that work for charity and basically BEG people to buy something. I had a woman say to me 'wow you must hate your job' - and that I did and that I was so greatful for her to sit down and have a chat to me. They're managers have a reputation of not putting your own personal feelings/problems into account. Lies upon LIES were told on a daily basis to customers. 8 step bible, every customer MUST sit down, if they dont your manager will sure as HELL breathe down your neck for that following week, possibly month. If you want to chat and do some tester cleaning, this is not the job for you. On that note, the testers were never clean. Brushes were never cleaned properly, ie with soapy water. They were always cleaned and chucked into the jars with theyre horrible greasy, chemical based brush cleaner - to which I had a customer take a reaction to. Every customer must by 2 products - if they dont thats YOUR fault, thats YOUR problem.
