Pros

Amazing Discounts - that's it.

Cons

Upper Management needs to respect their associates better. Sales have been down at BG. And it is partly due to upper management not doing their job correctly. If you are thinking about working here, forget it. Low Pay is insane and it is not even competitive to other department stores on Madison and 5th Avenue. Again, if you're contemplating about working here, forget about it. It's a joke. I was expecting better since Bergdorf Goodman was an esteemed establishment (there is only one Bergdorf Goodman in the world) but by the looks of it - looks like BG will not be here in the next 5 years.

Pros

Great discount, hands off management, great salary

Cons

Unrealistic sales goals, clientele is difficult to work with, co-workers can be ultra competitive, management only cares about numbers, buyers are out of touch

Pros

One of a kind store with some of the greatest stylists in the world and an unchallenged reputation in the fashion industry and beyond. -Opportunity to learn from industry veterans and influencers. -Occasionally can attend a fashion show -Opportunities to meet designers and hear about collections first hand

Cons

Underpaid for hourly workers, when compared to other luxury titans a stone's throw away. No real change after taking the issue to HR. Additionally, it was beginning to lose it's exclusivity. High turnover from BG veteran's, who were dissatisfied with it becoming more like a Neiman Marcus also meant the loss of valuable experience. -High stress job -Long hours, client driven job -Little support
