A Company Who Cares

Pros

Berkshire is a community who cares about its employees. Not only do they love to hear your opinions, suggestions, and ideas, they want to hear them!! This is my first time working with a company who actually cares about what I think! The upper management is amazing and really wants you to reach your full potential. In my personal experience upon being hired I was welcomed with open arms and kind hearts. Not only do my bosses want me to succeed and really dive in to what I am doing but so does the rest of the employees on site. It really is easy to succeed and love my job when I have such good support around me. I have loved my experience so far and cannot wait to continue my career with Berkshire. Now, all my friends wished they worked for this company too!

Cons

There are absolutely no cons when it comes to working for this company!

Sticky Company

Pros

Berkshire is a very dynamic company. The word "dynamic" gets thrown around a lot in the corporate world but this company nails it. They (we) are always actively seeking out the latest trend, the latest avenue to gain a competitive edge. We are honest with ourselves about our strengths and our shortcomings and we take input from all levels of management. We have a strong history of developing talent. It is not unusual for team members to leave Berkshire to assume higher levels of leadership in their next company. And sometimes it's not long before they are back and/or expressing regret about leaving. This company is sticky. I started with Berkshire back in 1994. After a few days I told my wife not to worry....that this job is just temporary until something better comes along. Still waiting.

Cons

Whether this is a con or not depends on your goals. The culture at Berkshire is one of upward movement. Climbing is hard. So if you aren't looking for a challenging job this company would likely not fit your needs.
