Extremely unclear and ambiguous growth opportunities, metrics, and 'goal posts' on how to be successful. Highly matrixed with very little interaction with leaders that actually inform decisions on promotions, raises, etc. Promotion and compensation increase process is very opaque and frustrating to navigate. The firm is also small enough that while there are opportunities to dig into new and exciting work, there is also opportunity for there to not be enough work. Very much a 'drink the kool aid' culture that is heavily reliant upon old school accounting firm practices of invest your time and get rewarded (but many years down the road).
