Pros

The discount is great and I really liked the direction of the company and the great leadership of higher up people within the organization. They have a good training program and allow employees to trade information among themselves. The discount is great and I really liked the direction of the company and the great leadership of higher up people within the organization. They have a good training program and allow employees to trade information among themselves. They do a good job of keeping everyone informed of what is going on throughout the company and the growth has truly been amazing.

Cons

Some of the downsides include a schedule which is somewhat limited and not very flexible. I think they could do a better job with some of their lower level store managers since many of them have very limited experience and were often on power trips. The hours can get a little long especially during the holidays and they don't like when you share your discount with others. They need to pay a little better and offer better benefits even for part-time employees. There were often conflicts between managers who would tell you one thing and then another one will tell you something else.

Pros

Each store is generally staffed with people of the same mindset, which makes for an energetic culture among the people in the stores. It is a fun, fast-paced environment where employees are constantly surrounded by the latest and greatest gadgets. Excellent training is provided and the company is forward thinking, making it leaps and bounds beyond its competition. Best Buy is one of the highest paying jobs in retail for those willing to give it their all. It will provide a thorough foundation for any future in sales or business. Employees learn a tremendous amount of sales techniques, product knowledge, and business acumen.

Cons

Some bonus structures are not based directly on controllables that reflect job performance. Company has improved focus on work/life balance, but still has work to do. Overall workload is unrealistic, at times.

Pros

For me it's the flexability of scheduling they give me. And the absolute best reason is the outstanding employee discount and employee accommodations offered.

Cons

Retail hours. Enough Said! Also in my past experiences the company tends to hire from outside the company when looking for leadership positions.
