Discrimination, retaliation, disrespect...if you aren't part of the "good ole boys club" then you won't get anywhere. There is a double standard for upper management vs. assistants, the pay discrepancy is ridiculous. Assistants do double the work of upper management and get paid 1/3 to 1/4 of what they do. Upper management is uneducated and distanced from everything that is required to run a store on a daily basis. The gender discrimination is very obvious. Females are only put into positions if the district gets in trouble from the corporate level, and the only females that do get promoted are the ones that are...well, let's just say that they didn't get where they are based on merit. We have approximately 2 managers out of about 50 that are minorities and very few people in the district over the age of 30. It is a dead end job that isn't worth it!
