Pros

Good discount, some of the employees are nice.

Cons

They give there employees a good discount, but unless you are a manager or supervisor you'll never have enough money to buy anything with the pay.

Pros

Tuition reimbursement is the only reason that I am still there. They are paying for most of my master's degree which is beneficial, but they make it very hard to get your reimbursement. The discount on most products is nice, and the health benefits aren't too bad. This is about where it ends. I have been with the company for over 5 years and have put in countless hours without pay. To get promoted you have to either be a part of the "cliques" or you have to bend over backwards. I don't know if it is like this in every district within the company, but it is certainly the case in this one.

Cons

Discrimination, retaliation, disrespect...if you aren't part of the "good ole boys club" then you won't get anywhere. There is a double standard for upper management vs. assistants, the pay discrepancy is ridiculous. Assistants do double the work of upper management and get paid 1/3 to 1/4 of what they do. Upper management is uneducated and distanced from everything that is required to run a store on a daily basis. The gender discrimination is very obvious. Females are only put into positions if the district gets in trouble from the corporate level, and the only females that do get promoted are the ones that are...well, let's just say that they didn't get where they are based on merit. We have approximately 2 managers out of about 50 that are minorities and very few people in the district over the age of 30. It is a dead end job that isn't worth it!
