      The CEO, Dave Durand, leads with integrity and has created a company that inspires everyone here to be here and build for the long term.

      Cons

      Sometimes if someone has previous experience, it can get in his or her own way. There is a program that has been tested for a DECADE now. It works and people need to follow it.

      Pros

      Working in the production and content departments of the business each day we are always hearing stories of residents who love reading their magazine. People like that we are non political and focus on their local community. We are always getting friends of residents contacting us to see if they can be added to our distribution area if they happen to live just outside it which is quite a compliment and makes you feel good about your job each day. They see it from their friends and want in! I love working in a growing industry that is making a difference in communities all over North America .

      Cons

      I wish we could get a magazine everywhere. For residents to have their own local source to connect with neighbors is a beautiful thing!

      Pros

      Great staff of support people. Lots of potential to make a lucrative income. Set your own schedule and workload....to a point.

      Cons

      Since I joined 3 years ago, BVM is become decidedly more corporately structured , as well as more micro-managing and quota driven. If you need the support and direction that's fine. If you're more of an independent operator like most entrepreneurs, it's exceedingly frustrating.
