Pros
A tremendous opportunity to discover or take advantage of your inner marketing skills as a publisher with a company who truly understands that print media is not dead when done right. Best Version Media's vision is so spot on with their nationwide community magazines and their staff offers incredible support and encouragement as you embark on your journey to be a true publisher. I encourage anyone who ever thought of having their own magazine where success is based on personal drive and commitment (not someone else's expectations) to look into Best Version Media. I had to leave for family reasons, but am so grateful for the opportunity of having my magazine for 4-1/2 years (and turning it over to another successful publisher within the company).
Cons
No cons except you should have some income to live off of for at least three months as you work on getting commitments to get you to print. If you are easily deflated when people say "no" or don't respond to your calls and emails, you probably will not be able to handle the workload to be successful.
