Used to be a good place

Pros

Competitive salary, some now minor flexibility with work-from-home (depending where you live... must live over 50miles away now)

Cons

Outdated equipment/technology is difficult to work with, no longer flexible with work-from-home at employees' expense (and this was sprung on us after we were confirmed for more flexibility through year end, and they don't even care it will cost you more to come in or if you have kids to accommodate), no longer employee oriented, no longer any engagement activities, no elevator for the disabled at HQ, benefits aren't very good, and they took away the Coke to be "healthy" but replace it with fake sugar garbage which is way worse. Employee input no longer matters here.

Not Good (as of late 2025)

Pros

The individual contributors and managers here support you. And nearly everyone is just nice to work with. A breath of fresh air.

Cons

The Technology Management organization has become a culture of fear and CYA since new leadership has arrived. It can happen sometimes when there is new leadership but I’ve never seen anything like this. Since salaries here are low, people stay because they like their coworkers and we had a great culture of support and positivity. But now good people are leaving, others are being thrown under the bus, and they’ve started layoffs. Do not work here.

Tip your housekeepers

Pros

I took the job to make up some moving money. The people I work with are nice. Many housekeepers are immigrants with kids they want to succeed in this country. It's a job that's easy to get. You learn a lot of Spanish.

Cons

It's a really fast paced job, to the point where it's very hard to keep up as a newcomer. Many of the ladies I work with are so quick and skilled though (even though it's considered an unskilled job). I never knew to tip housekeepers, but you (I) really should. It's hard on your body, you have to memorize where every thing goes, what is missing, and constantly calculate your time. It's challenging, don't let the idea of something "not taking skill" fool you, this job takes maybe as much skill as my "skilled job."
