Pros

Lots of free time...coworker is writing a book on shift. Management is really easy to work with. Very personable. Same with the owners, who are on site fairly often. One time the owner saw a customer yelling at me and another worker over something that wasn’t our fault, listened for a minute and then came and kicked the lady out of the hotel for harassing his employees. Free breakfast a lot of the time. Security guard is the coolest (and scariest) dude out there. Get to pet a lot of dogs😁 Basically get paid to sit down and do nothing most of the time

Cons

Not a job for agreeable people. If you tend to not be able to say no to people, this job will stress you out. A lot of free time can also be a bad thing. Bring a book or something to work. Applicants need to be able to perform well in emergency scenarios. It doesn’t happen often by any means, but with 80 people in and out of the hotel everyday, somebody’s bound to have an emergency or do something crazy once every few months. Need to be prepared to call 911 and not have a nervous breakdown. Also theres only a few desk workers, so while requesting time off is simple and easy, calling out of work on the day of really isn't acceptable at all.

Pros

Corporate is decent to deal with.

Cons

Each location is independent. So the owners do whatever they want which also means paying below a livable wage for frontline employees

Pros

If you get your rooms done, you can leave early, solo work, actually clean bedding well

Cons

Strict hot uniform, very very physical and fast paced, most of the employees speak Spanish except front desk, you have to travel locations, they are very very strict about perfection in the way things are folded and layers and even tiny wrinkles, everything has its process and you cant do it your own way to speed it up, no gloves and the cleaning chemicals burned my skin, so much work and memorization and perfection that needs to be fit into such little time.
