      Fast-paced start-up environments aren't for everyone, but if you enjoy building, learning and staying on your edge then this is a great company that's doing incredible work.

      Pros

      BetterUp is a very good place to work, with intelligent and caring leaders who invest in their teams and push us to do our best work. The work is pretty challenging but meaningful compared to your run of the mill SaaS company. Most people have a lot of energy and passion around their jobs, and it’s inspiring to be part of a company that’s making a tangible impact on peoples lives with our coaching platform. I’m excited and optimistic about BetterUp's future and the business outlook and I'm proud to contribute to its mission.

      Cons

      Not really a con, but there was a decent amount of turnover on the leadership team in the last year or so, which concerned me at the time. However, the replacements/new additions to the team are really solid and capable and are a major upgrade from what we had before, so it's been a big positive and I think they're taking the company in the right direction.

There is immense potential, and the impact we’re making with customers is truly inspiring. What makes BetterUp stand out is the people. My experience is everyone here stays on their edge, is supportive, and invested in the overall and individual success. The culture is collaborative, and there’s a genuine effort to help each other grow. Additionally, the company prioritizes work-life balance with generous time off like summer and winter breaks, holidays, and "Inner Work" days.

      Cons

      It is a challenging yet rewarding place to work. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re passionate about personal growth and willing to contribute to a world-changing mission, this could be the perfect fit for you. The growth opportunities are second to none. There’s a fair amount of ambiguity and challenging problems to solve. However, I find the work to be sustainable and even energizing.
