Pros

The IC level people and many managers are great! You will never be the smartest person in the room and that’s something to be proud of. Colleagues will positively challenge you, build partnership with you and drive you. Great benefits. One of the worlds most helpful platforms for change.

Cons

You will be driven into the ground with work, hours, challenges, etc. They preach “only the best employees in the world survive here” and spotlight employees who work 24/7. I constantly hear employees are afraid to take time off. If you don’t come from google or the alike, you’re looked down on. Leadership brought in in 2023 isn’t the same caliber. They’re often from Google or similar and only care about their image with C-Suite, that was witnessed plenty. My division leader often throws me under the bus when things go sideways on an initiative and hasn’t been there to provide support when I ask, despite always telling me they’re there for me. My newer colleagues have come from companies like google and Amazon and in the first few months weren’t meeting metrics but would get preferential treatment on new initiatives or shoutouts in front of leaders. This is ironically a terrible place to work if you’re looking to improve your mental agility and overall wellness. The stock price has been embarrassing low despite leaders toting its value.
