Pros

-love the product, people, and culture. since bevi is in the business of enhancing office culture, the company also takes its own culture very seriously. There's 2 active fun clubs (green team, LGBTQ), regular socials especially during summer, and once a year retreat which is quite epic.

Cons

We're in the business of selling water machines. Regardless of how much VC money we've raised and how much users LOVE our product, growth is quite slow and it's unlikely we'll outcompete the likes of pepsi and coke. while working there is still great, this does mean that there will be limited career progression options. they want to hire folks who are good at what they do and stay in that role.

Pros

Benefits are really good, the catered lunches are really nice, everybody there is really friendly and willing to help. It's super cool that there are office dogs. Snacks are always available. People care about the work they're doing and the product they're working on. It's pretty sweet! I also like all the work outings! We've gone out to lunch many times, and that's something I think is really nice. The thing I really like is that the leadership team (and generally, your coworkers) trust that you will do your job, and they trust your work. That is something that tons of American companies REALLY need to work on. I think Bevi is doing well on that front, and I hope they'll set an example for how employers treat employees. Even if people aren't fully satisfied at Bevi, I will tell you, I've worked at some pretty unforgiving places. Bevi has high praise from me, and that's coming from someone with a background that has nothing to do with this kind of environment.

Cons

Two main cons. First, it is far away from where I live. I'm still early in my working life, so the experience is invaluable, but it takes me forever to get there. This isn't Bevi's fault, though. Second con (and this may only be a con for some): Priorities can change at the drop of a hat. I kind of like this, but I think it can show some lack of organization from the leadership team at times. We've all been around the block somewhat, so I'm a little surprised that some items are missed during initial development.
