Pros

Used to be a great place to work, with great benefits, people and culture. Hard to say at this point now, There are still good people left doing their best to keep things running.

Cons

I have seen this company fall apart in slow motion in the last two years. After a truly incredible pandemic era boost to the coffers, every attempt to maintain profitability has fallen well short. It doesn't matter how many executives you swap in or out, if you keep running things chasing the next half baked idea for a quick buck, all you will do is bleed money, lose talent and make.you entire business model even more irrelevant. Everyone is overworked, burned out, and scared for their future. Unless a few miracles happen back to back. I don't see might light at the end of this tunnel.

Pros

Great benefits and awesome teammates

Cons

Shady practices and no transparency from management. This was a great company with the prior Overstock CEO but since the new narcissist took over it’s a joke. They don’t care about their customers nor their employees. It’s all about making money for shareholders. They laid off 20% of the staff a week before Christmas.

Pros

Some of the brightest engineers built this company.

Cons

The company is under new management since the purchase of BedBathAndBeyond. The entire executive team is under the dominion of one man. The amount of deceit is off the scales! They retain talent until they've served their migration to headless. Every engineer is expendable at that point. There was an internal unsaid subversive mandate to eliminate 80% off the entire tech organization. The only remaining engineers are those in Ireland because Irish labor laws are more stringent than at-will. I strongly suggest you look for employment elsewhere. They do not value talent. Nor do they wish to promote an honest company culture. Every positive comment is said as a manipulation tactic to get workers to comply until they are done with you.
