Pros

I have always been impressed with Overstock.com's dedication to enrich their associates through training and learning opportunities. As a memeber of the HR team, I was given the chance to grow my knowledge of HR practices and policies by going through the PHR certification process. Overstock.com was behind me every step of the way! They gave monetary support by covering the test and training program fees, and they gave support by allowing our group to meet and study as often as we could. I'm happy to report that all three associates who took the test achieved PHR certification. Overstock.com continues their support by sending us to conferences and training throughout the year that will allow us to keep our certification active.

Pros

Excellent work life balance. I work two jobs and they worked with me to be able to keep both jobs. Got compensation when I earned it and voiced what I thought it was worth I always had work to do to keep me busy. Leads listened when I had suggestions. I've moved up to multiple positions because I told them I wanted to.

Cons

Some employees are worried about all the negative and don't make the place fun to work. This fight with wall street seems to be a money pit with employees not seeing what we would gain from winning any lawsuit.

Pros

The people are smart and there is a good attitude about getting things done without dieing in the process.

Cons

Chaotic decision making causes long term planning to be a problem. You don't know from one month to the next what the projects are that you will be working on or the priorities of the company.
