Overstock: The Place to Be for Ambitious and Driven Professionals

Business Outlook

Pros

Overstock offers ample opportunities for growth and career advancement. The company values transparency and open communication with employees, including direct access to executive level team members. Compensation is fair and aligned with market standards, and the company is committed to paying employees fairly. Overstock responded well to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and offers a flexible remote/hybrid work environment. The company prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, and provides support and opportunities for employees of all backgrounds. The company's values and leadership principles create a collaborative and positive work environment. Overstock is customer-focused and technology-driven, with a mission to create enterprise value.

Cons

Customer service seems to be excluded from company-wide events, which can be isolating for those employees. There have been instances of band-aid fixes in different departments, which can lead to inefficiencies in the long term. More attention could be given to doing things right the first time, particularly in light of the company's technology-focused approach. Some new employees seem to have received little to no training, which can be challenging for them as well as their colleagues.
