Customer service is a sweat shop. No raises. No bonuses. Nothing to work towards. They want more and more but refuse to give anything. Being written up for anything and everything is threatened in every meeting. No perks from the new building. But it is constantly held over our head. Management knows less than the agents. Once upon a time Patrick and others use to care about CS. Those days are long gone.

My time at Overstock was somewhat of a rollercoaster... I had a lot of great opportunities to grow, but I quickly learned that the company was poorly managed with very little stability. In the year or so that I worked there were 4 company re-orgs and two rounds of layoffs. As long as you don't get to far up in the company things are pretty good, but the upper level management and strategy is terrible.
