Pros

Working here has provided valuable hands-on experience in facilities management, logistics coordination, and asset tracking. I’ve had the chance to be involved in a wide range of tasks, from managing shipments to liaising with external vendors, which has helped me grow professionally and gain a better understanding of cross-functional operations. My colleagues are generally supportive, and the project teams are easy to work with, which makes collaboration smoother.

Cons

One major challenge is the lack of role clarity. Many of the responsibilities I’ve taken on were temporary or unplanned, often due to someone’s resignation or internal restructuring. While I understand the need to step in, the transition usually comes without proper guidance or training. The workload can be quite heavy and the responsibilities significant, especially when you're expected to cover a role outside your scope for an extended period. Unfortunately, this doesn’t always come with proper recognition or compensation. Another drawback is the commute arrangement. Office assignments sometimes change without much notice or consultation, which can be frustrating, especially when the new location adds considerable time and cost to daily travel. Overall, it's a decent place to build experience if you're flexible and willing to take on extra responsibilities, but it may not be ideal for those seeking role stability and long-term career growth in a focused area.

Got Laid off

Pros

1) Have a work-life balance. You don't have to think about work when you go back home, and not required to OT 2) No working pressure 3) Colleagues are nice and friendly. Overall, I feel happy throughout my employment here 4) I'm very lucky to get a good team lead who is very nice and respectful, listens to their team members' opinions. They guide me from A-Z. I heard some of the team are bad. So, it depends on who your team lead is 5) The office is located near the LRT station. So, it's very easy to commute to the office. Besides, the office is located near Mid Valley. So you can go walk around the mall if you are bored during lunchtime 6) Got 2 days WFH. I don't know why they don't just give full WFH. So far, I haven't seen any reason to go to the office because all the team members are in China, so there is no point in going to the office 7) They provide snacks. So, you can take it as much as you want 8) The office is very spacious and comfortable

Cons

1) Got laid off. They can layoffs you anytime they want due to "client cutting budget". Don’t feel safe working here, even though the position is permanent 2) They announced the layoff very last minute. They announced on 13 March, last working day is 31 March. It's very unfair. Imagine those who have a lot of commitment or those who come to KL to survive alone and have to pay all the bills. At least, they should give a 2-month notice period. In the meantime, we still have time to find a job 3) There is no transparency between the management and employees. They just saying that they laid off workers due to "client cutting budget" and no further explanation. In fact, they have a history of laying off employees before that. 4) They said it's a permanent position, but actually it's just a 12-month renewable contract 5) No career growth. No bonus. No Salary increment. No benefit. This place is only for you to gain experience or a salary. Not for a long-term employment. 6) Not many things you can learn here. It's a repetitive task. The Job scope is too small. Hence, there are not many things you can learn and experience that you can gain. You will easily get bored. 7) Since you are the only team member there and all of your team members are in China, you have to communicate everything online. It's such a hassle. There will be miscommunication, and some of them are not fluent in English
