Pros

Working environment with peers is great. Your coworkers are fantastic team oriented people. Your schedule is flexible, and mostly in your control. You can work remotely when you need to with very little resistance.

Cons

The CEO seems to only give lip-service to the company value of accountability. While very charming and persuasive in building belief in the potential of the company, from my interactions I believe he is only interested in saying what he thinks is necessary to get you to do what he wants in that particular moment without regard to repercussions. I personally had multiple conversations where conflicting information was offered about very important topics. I was also present when he made crass and demeaning comments to coworkers. The working environment was individually toxic for multiple peers even though we worked well together.

Pros

The people on the teams are great. There's good communication and teamwork, and they have client interests in mind when communicating expectations.

Cons

Upper management (CEO) creates an abusive work environment belittling employees, blaming them when he is caught in lies, and manipulating others to vilify individuals who upset him.

Pros

Company is a start up so it's easy to make yourself heard. They do a weekly email survey to see how people are doing and feeling, and the responses are anonymous - so you can always share how you feel about the job. They are competitive with their salary offers and the benefits are pretty good. They have a 401k with a match, dental, vision and health. Because they're relatively small, there is opportunity for upward movement. The services side of the business feels very stable.

Cons

It seems like the objective of the company is continually changing depending on what will bring in money. Feels unstable. There's a ton of potential here but it feels like there is a ton of emphasis placed on a particular piece of software the company has developed, and we were refactoring the entire thing for what I understand is the 3rd time. Seems like there's a lot of turnover.
