Pros

Employees that are truly dedicated to helping youth and families succeed. Great benefits - medical, dental, retirement. Wellness program for staff. Responsive HR department. Programs that evolve to meet the changing needs of the youth we serve.

Cons

Offices spread throughout Santa Clara County so sometimes difficult to build camaraderie with co-workers. Sometimes the hours are long, but that's true for most jobs!

Pros

Working with like-minded people who want to really help people. Good salary, benefits, including retirement. I work with lots of nice people!

Cons

Paperwork! But that comes with the territory. There are many requirements for documenting services but that is true no matter where you work in counseling.

Pros

Great training, great benefits, competitive pay for non-profit

Cons

When I first started working there, management was disconnected with staff. I had to leave to return to school, but my last year there was great and they are really doing a great job appreciating their staff and being more flexible.
