Pros

Competitive benefits, great work-life balance, and an amazing company culture. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. I really get the sense that Billhighway cares about me as an employee.

Cons

The way that the system is set up, it is really easy to make errors that cause delays require others to get involved. Working in my department requires a very strong attention to detail, which could be a con for some.

Best job I could ever ask for right out of college

Pros

When I first interviewed with Billhighway aka: Automated Payment Highway, I was skeptical that there could actually be a place that had the kind of culture they talked about with the talented people they claimed to have. I should not have been skeptical. I am doing exactly what I wanted to do when I chose my major in college. I work directly with upper level management and they always value opinions and I have never heard of a CEO that values input and opinions and have stressed for people to voice theirs as much as Vince. I will say though--it is a very work hard, play hard environment. My salary is definitely above average with great benefits, a 401k, a charitable volunteer program (you are able to take 2 days a year on top of your regular PTO to go volunteer at a nonprofit of your choice). We are a team of overachievers at Billhighway, expectations are very high and if you are looking for a job with strict hours and no going above and beyond then it may not be a good fit for you. However, going above and beyond is almost always recognized, it is a very important part of our culture. I also LOVE that it is a casual dress environment, which is awesome! The best aspect is that everyone there understands you have a life outside of the company, if you need to leave early or come in late because of a doctors appointment or your kid is sick--there is no issue because everyone knows you will still get your work done and you will do it well. Salaried employees in the company receive 20 days of PTO, 7 work from home days, 2 paid days of volunteer time (if you want to take it.) I love coming to the office--my biggest fear after college graduation was that I was not going to have a purpose in my job and would dread coming to work. Thankfully, this did not come true!

Cons

For more experienced professionals, the 20 days of PTO may be a con because the days don't roll over to the next year. However, for younger, less experienced professionals 20 days PTO is awesome.
