Pros

Only one pro- just the coworkers.

Cons

Where to start? Low pay, poor work/life balance. Co-workers make the place bearable. Managers are incredibly short-sighted, don't genuinely care about employees. Employees had to constantly appease management's every whim (what you would do with a toddler so they don't blow a fit. Honestly exhausting just thinking about it- glad to have this behind me. Also no long term runway- no investment in employee's growth/learning.

Pros

Can't think of any at all

Cons

This is the most toxic place. It's completely based on nepotism. Way too many people are promoted quickly - it does not align at all with the CRO industry as a whole and these employees are in for a shock when they try to get jobs elsewhere as they have been put in jobs with meaningless titles far above their experience levels. There is an absence of focus on quality and it's only a matter of time before there is a serious findings by regulatory agencies. Also, hope you don't have to interact with the sponsors, as this company offers incredibly low quality of work and members of the sponsor teams will remember you. Very sad as it is essentially setting up young employees for failure in their careers.

Pros

I work in the CMC department. Super chill and hardworking team- seriously good people. Learned a ton and picked up some cool new skills. The benefits and little perks are pretty solid too.

Cons

Honestly, it all comes down to who your manager is. Most are chill and decent, but some? Big yikes. Some act like dictators—all about deadlines and numbers with zero empathy. They seem so very polite and sweet, but don’t be fooled—they can be nasty for no reason. They disrespect their team, talk down to people, ignore mental health, and leak private health info like it’s nothing. Complete disregard to HIPA rules. Shameful really. A lot of folks have gone to HR about them, yet somehow they’re still around flexing. They take credit for everything their team does, act like they’re super busy, but it’s all just smoke and mirrors. There’s a reason people keep quitting under them—stop blaming everyone else. It’s not the company, it’s not the clients. It’s you. These managers literally have zero original team left. Message received? Fix yourself. People have been fired for way less. Soft skills? Nonexistent.
