Pros

BioAgilytix Labs, LLC (BAL) is a successful, competent, contract research organization (CRO) with a specific focus on large molecule bioanalysis. It's competitive, successful, and has the staff, expertise, and equipment needed to advance client contracted projects at the scientific and technical level.

Cons

For members of operations (Ops), the hustle of work at a CRO can turn into a quite a grind. Too many projects for too many clients on too tight of timelines stretches staff, equipment, and attention thin. The same cost-cutting and efficiency measures that keep BAL lean and efficient also promote overloading of employees. To be fair, this is true for most CROs.

Pros

If you have a good manager and team, it’s not terrible. The work isn’t difficult or hard, and occasionally can be interesting.

Cons

No communication or clarity from upper management. Company feels very cagey and closed off. Promotions are broken and denied even if you are qualified and deserving. Pay is low for the positions. Company goals are so ambitious that bonuses get denied.
